What you get

Four rules you can check

What arrives every month, what a collection costs you, and who turns up at your gate.

  • A report for every unit

Each month you get every unit’s collections, the weight the collector recorded, and what it was charged. Anything that did not happen is on the same page. You take it to the meeting as it stands.

  • A photo for every pickup

Every pickup ends with a camera photo, stamped with the time and place, and tied to the unit. When a resident says they were skipped, you check rather than argue.

  • You pay for what you get

Charges follow the collections. If a collection we owe you does not happen, its share is credited straight back to the wallet that paid, with no claim to file and nobody to chase.

  • People you can verify

Every collector passes identity and guarantor checks before their first job. WasteAway is Xzeiten Ltd, RC 9740479.

What arrives at month end

One report, every unit, every miss

Every collection is listed against the unit that received it, and every collection that did not happen is listed too.

The missed collection was not charged. The plan is paid a month ahead, so a visit that does not happen returns its share — ₦672.00 here — to the wallet that paid for it. That is why the charged column is lower than four full plans.

Figures are the published twice-weekly rate of ₦6,048.00 a unit a month, at the standard tier. Four units earn no group discount; ten or more do, and the rate drops with the count. An estate also pays a visit fee for the collector's trip out. It is charged once per visit and shared across the units served, so a real estate's totals move a little with distance and unit count. The pricing guide has the range. Weights are the figure the collector records at the door.

How it works

Four steps to your first report

  1. 1

    Register your estate

Set up your estate in the app and onboard your units and residents.

  2. 2

    Put units on plans

Shared service plans per unit. Group discounts apply automatically as your unit count grows.

  3. 3

    Choose how you bill

Pay for everything from one estate wallet. Residents can request extra pickups, but nothing is charged until you approve it. Or let each unit pay for itself.

  4. 4

    Get your monthly report

Spend, collections and misses for every unit, ready for the facility-manager meeting.

Estate pickups and plans are paid from the estate wallet, which you load by card, bank transfer or USSD. Money you do load pays for pickups and plans, and the app has no way to pay it out to a bank account. Top up what the estate plans to spend, and keep a second manager on the account who can spend it.

Group discounts

The more units, the better the rate

Discounts are applied per unit and shown in the app before you confirm a plan.

  • 5 to 9 units

  • 10 to 24 units

Estate plans also carry a visit fee for the collector’s trip out. It runs from ₦200 up to ₦1,000 a visit depending on distance. It is charged once per visit and shared across all the units served, so the more units on the visit, the less each one pays. See the full pricing guide for what a pickup and a plan cost.

Built for accountability

Every collection on the record, per unit

  • Verified collectors

Every collector is identity-checked with a named guarantor, and approved by our team before their first job.

  • Proof on every job

Completions carry a photo from the in-app camera, stamped with when and where it was taken.

  • Clean records

Itemised prices and a per-unit report you can export from the app, with every collection and charge in your history.

The report lives in the same app your residents use. Your estate is a role inside it, so there is nothing extra to install. Get the app.

FAQ

What estate managers ask

Billing, reports and what happens when a unit is missed.

Setting the estate up

How do estates and businesses get set up?

You add your units, put them on a plan with a multi-unit discount, and choose whether the estate pays for everything or each unit pays for itself. A monthly report follows. Use the setup form below, or write to partners@wasteaway.ng.

Where is WasteAway available?

Abuja is our first city. Get the app and check coverage for your address as a guest, before you create an account. WasteAway is built to expand across Nigeria’s fast-growing cities, so if you’d like it in your city or estate, get in touch.

Do residents need their own accounts?

Only if you want them to. A manager can run every unit alone, or invite residents so they can request extra pickups themselves — which a manager approves, so nothing is booked against the estate without you.

Billing and reports

Can the estate pay for everything, or does each unit pay for itself?

Either. A central plan bills every unit to one estate wallet that the manager funds and spends; a per-unit plan bills each resident their own share. You choose per plan when you set it up, and the app shows which one a unit is on.

What is actually in the monthly report?

Every unit, the collections it received, the ones it missed, the weight collected and what it was charged, plus the estate total and anything outstanding. There is a specimen of the whole document further up this page.

What happens if a collector misses one of our units?

A visit nobody comes for is not charged. A plan is paid a month ahead, so that visit’s share goes straight back to the wallet that paid for it. If a collector does come and the bin is not out, a fee of 40% of that visit is kept and the rest goes back. Both appear in the monthly report, against the unit they belong to.

How does pricing work?

Every price is itemised before you confirm: base price, any size, distance and urgency charges, and the service fee. We do not currently charge VAT. The price you confirm is the price you pay. See the full pricing guide for current figures.

Stopping

What if the estate wants to stop?

There is no contract and no lock-in. A plan runs month to month until you cancel it, which a manager can do in the app at any time. Future collections stop. The part of the current month you have paid for but not yet received goes back to the estate wallet. Estate pickups and plans are paid from that wallet, which you load by card, bank transfer or USSD. Units activate as the wallet covers them, and we tell you when it runs low. The app has no way to send wallet money back to a bank, so load what the estate plans to spend.

Accountability

How will I know when my collector is on the way?

Track your collector live on a map in the app, with a step-by-step status from booking confirmed through to completed, plus a photo when the pickup is done. We also send the key updates by SMS, so you stay in the loop even with the app closed.

Is my data safe?

Yes. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, encrypt data in transit and at rest, and never sell it. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
